Four Panthers ranked in New England

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State College is ranked 10th as a team and four individuals are ranked in the top three in their respective weight classes
in the first New England Individual Rankings by the New England College Conference Wrestling Association.

The Panthers, who dropped one spot from the pre-season poll, placed ninth out of 17 teams in the season-opening tournament last Saturday at Roger
Williams University.

PSC junior Nate Kittredge (Vergennes, Vt.) is the top-ranked wrestler in New England at 184 pounds, and three other Panthers are ranked third in New
England in their weight classes — senior Shaun Cleary (West Keansburg, N.J.) at 141 pounds, junior Rich Moskowitz (Amherst, N.H.) at 157, and sophomore
Dan Moskowitz (Amherst, N.H.) at 165.

Kittredge is returning to the Panther line-up after sitting out last season. He was 26-6 in 2000-01 and finished as New England runner-up at 197 pounds,
and he went 5-0 to capture the 184-pound weight class at the Roger Williams Tournament last weekend. Cleary finished 24-12 last season at 141 and placed
third last weekend in the same weight class at Roger Williams.

Rich Moskowitz, who is coming off a season in which he won the New England title at 157, advanced to the NCAA National Championships and finished
with a 29-15 record, placed fourth at 157 at Roger Williams after posting a 4-2 record with two pins. Dan Moskowitz was New England runner-up at 165 last
year, finishing 26-16, and has yet to make his 2002-03 debut.

The Panthers are in the first season under new head coach Don Perrin, a former Panther New England All-Star.
