PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Junior midfielder Jeremy Gasowski (Lee, NH) of the Plymouth State College men’s soccer team was honored for his two-goal effort last
Saturday against Western Connecticut by being named to the Little East Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
Gasowski netted the first goal of the game at the 34:55 mark when he connected with a cross for a one-time shot. He put away his second goal when he hit a
blistering shot from 35 yards out to beat the Colonial keeper. These were his first two tallies of the season, and improved his career totals to six goals and nine assists.
A two-year starter for the Panthers, Gasowski is looking to build upon last year’s success with a solid post-season run. He and freshman Steve Wallis
(Raymond, NH) are the only New Hampshire natives who have cracked the starting lineup this season.
The Panthers, who are 6-7-0 overall and 2-1-0 in LEC games, are off until Saturday’s Homecoming contest against Rhode Island College (3 p.m.). Four of PSC’s
five remaining regular season games are LEC affairs. The LEC Tournament is slated for Friday and Sunday, Nov. 5 and 7, with the champion receiving the conference’s first
automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
PANTHER NOTES: The Panther’s continued their domination of the LEC last weekend by defeating Western Connecticut, 4-0. The victory was PSC’s 17th win in
the last 18 LEC outings dating back to the ‘96 season.
