In accordance with this year’s Latin America theme, Ambassador Thomas Dodd will speak on “The United States and Latin America in the Post Cold War Era: Charting New Directions Through Inter-American Diplomacy” at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 30. The program will be held in Heritage Commons.
Ambassador Dodd was ambassador to Costa Rica from 1997-2001 and to Uruguay from 1993-1997. He received his B.S. degree from Georgetown University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from George Washington University, and is currently adjunct professor and diplomat in residence, School of International Service at American University, in Washington, DC.
