Governor to Give Guest Lecture to PSU MBA Students

June 8th, 2004 by Adam

Governor Craig Benson will be the guest speaker at the June 14 meeting of Plymouth State University’s MBA class on new ventures and entrepreneurship in Lebanon. Through his presentation, “The Spirit of Entrepreneurship,” the Governor is expected to share his own experiences as an entrepreneur and field questions from the students. The class is held from 6 – 9:30 p.m. in the Maple Room at the College for Lifelong Learning’s Lebanon site.

“Governor Benson is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in New Hampshire history, and his willingness to discuss his experiences with my class on new ventures is very much appreciated,” states PSU Professor of Business Duncan McDougall.

The class, an elective in PSU’s Master of Business Administration program, is an executive-level workshop course in entrepreneurship. It is designed for people with a near-term interest in starting a new business and takes students through the steps involved in developing a business plan: define their primary vision, assess opportunities, market and operations planning, resource estimation, financial forecasting and the presentation of the plan to a potential investor.
