Ju-Young Baek, Violinist

Ju-Young Baek, first place artist in the 2000 Young Concert Artists international auditions, will perform at Plymouth State College at 8 p.m. Thursday, November 29.

Ms. Baek recently made her New York debut, and was also presented in concert in Germany and France for her distinction in the young artists’ competition. During the 2001-2002 season she was a featured soloist at the Kennedy Center and in Boston at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. This spring Ms. Baek will make her Carnegie Hall debut.

Baek earned a bachelor of music degree from The Curtis Institute and a master’s degree from the Julliard School. She has performed as a soloist with the London Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony, St. Petersburg Philharmonic and at prestigious festivals throughout Europe and Japan.
