Juried Student Art Exhibit

February 9th, 2005 by Adam

Plymouth State University students will show off their creative talents in March during the Karl Drerup Art Gallery’s annual Juried Student Exhibition, March 9 – April 9 in the lobby of the Silver Cultural Arts Center.

“The exhibit’s primary goal is to provide a professional opportunity for students of any major enrolled in art courses at PSU to exhibit their work,” says Professor Bill Haust. “Students have an outstanding opportunity to show their work to a large viewing audience as well as for the community to celebrate the success and achievement of art students.”

The show is coordinated by gallery director Dr. Catherine Amidon and a student steering committee. External jurors are selected to judge student submissions in order to provide a more objective selection process. The show includes work done in many media, including painting, drawing, photography and sculpture.

An opening reception will be held at Silver on Wednesday, March 9 from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Silver Cultural Arts Center lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from noon to 6 p.m. For more information about the exhibit, call (603) 535-2614.
