KEENE, N.H. – Joe Branciforte (Cromwell, Conn.) scored six goals and two assists and Craig D’Allasandro (Bow, N.H.) and Spencer Anastasio (San Marcos, Tx.) added three goals each Saturday to lead Keene State College to a 19-5 Little East Conference victory over rival Plymouth State College at Owl Stadium Complex.
The win was the Owls’ fourth straight and the first time they have defeated the Panthers since the inception of the KSC program in 1998. Keene State improves to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the Little East, while PSC drops to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
The Owls led 6-1 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 12-1 at halftime before coasting home with the win. Eric Momnie (South Windsor, Conn.) also had two goals and three assists for Keene State.
Junior Jason Biedrzycki (Amherst, N.H.) and freshman Pat O’Malley (South Windsor, Conn.) led the Panthers with a goal and an assist apiece. Senior Andrew Quesnel (Middlebury, Vt.), junior Kevin Finnerty (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and freshman John Gallagher (Forestdale, Mass.) also collected goals for PSC.
KSC goalie Eric Delisle (Amherst, N.H.) had 16 saves, while PSC junior Dan Egan (Cambridge, Mass.) and sophomore Tim McNamara (West Labanon, N.H.) combined for 15 saves in the Panther net.
Plymouth State plays again Monday in a non-conference game at Norwich (3:30 p.m.). Keene State hosts Daniel Webster on Tuesday (4:00 p.m.).
