PLYMOUTH, N.H. – For the third time this month, a senior on the Plymouth State College men’s soccer team has been named Little East Conference
Player of the Week.
Senior stopper Antoine Moiboueyi (Gabon, Africa) was chosen for this week’s top LEC honor. He helped PSC to a pair of home conference victories
over the University of Southern Maine and Rhode Island College. Classmates Scott Laine (Spencer, Mass.) and Garry Thomson (Glasgow, Scotland) earned
the honor earlier this month.
A 6’1”, 180-pound defender, Moiboueyi scored three goals in the Panther victories while playing strong defense along the back line. He tallied two goals
in the 4-1 win over USM and added another in the 6-1 triumph over RIC. He has scored six goals this season while playing primarily a defensive position.
A two-time All-New England selection, Moiboueyi is also moving up on the all-time PSC scoring list. He has 75 career points, with 34 goals and seven
assists, to rank fifth on the school’s career scoring list.
The Panthers, who have won four in a row and seven of their last eight to improve to 8-4-0 overall and 5-1-0 in conference play, conclude the regular
season this week with three road games. PSC faces Rivier College Monday (Oct. 22) in Nashua, N.H. (6:00 p.m.), and then travels to Bridgewater State
Thursday (Oct. 25) for a make-up contest (3:30 p.m.). The regular season wraps up with a key LEC contest Saturday (Oct. 27) at UMass Dartmouth (1:00
p.m.), a game that will help determine the seedings in next week’s LEC Tournament.
