PLYMOUTH, N.H. – A sophomore on the Plymouth State University women’s basketball team was recognized by the Little East Conference Monday for her efforts in three Panther games last week.
Sophomore forward Katie Susat (Glastonbury, Conn.) was named to the LEC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll, the first weekly recognition of her career. She helped the Panthers to two wins in three outings, and a split in the two LEC contests.
|A 5’8” forward, Susat averaged a double-double in the three games, recording 13.7 points and 11.0 rebounds and shooting 68.0 percent from the field. She recorded season highs with 16 points and 17 rebounds in Tuesday’s win over New England College (previous highs were 10 pts and 6 rebs), and followed up with another career-best 17 points in an LEC win over UMass Dartmouth.|
The Panthers, 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference, have completed the first semester, and are in the middle of final exams and a break for the holidays. PSU will return to action on Sunday, Jan. 4, with a non-conference clash at Johnson & Wales.
