A Littleton native is the winner of the first-ever Plymouth State University Student Employee of the Year Award. Adam Spaulding, a senior business administration major, was chosen from a pool of 14 candidates at a ceremony April 10.
PSU President Sara Jayne Steen said Spaulding’s dedication to his job at the University’s field house was admirable and well-documented. “Adam has given an enormous amount to the institution,” Steen said.
Spaulding credited his mentor, Peter Cofran, PSU Event and Facilities Coordinator, with his success as a student employee, noting, “He is a great guy who made it easy for me to enjoy my job.”
Spaulding’s job at the PSU Physical Education Center includes facility oversight and managing other student employees. PSU hosts the annual New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA) basketball tournament, which attracts thousands of fans to the campus. Spaulding played a key role in managing this year’s successful NHIAA event.
“It was an overwhelming experience,” said Spaulding.
