PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior captain Kevin Martin (Foxboro, MA) doubled his goal total last weekend by tallying twice as the Plymouth State College
men’s soccer team beat Rhode Island College, 3-1. He was rewarded for his goal scoring effort by being named to the Little East Conference Weekly Honor Roll.

Martin’s first goal came in the 86th minute when he collected a Magnus Eriksson (Arjang, Sweeden) pass on the six-yard line and volleyed one past the
RIC keeper. His second goal came with just seconds remaining, when he took the ball at midfield, shifted past a defender, and went on to beat the goalie to ensure
the victory.

A Second Team All-America selection in ’98, Martin has started 34 consecutive games for the Panthers, after recovering from a season-ending injury in the
’97 season. Improves his career goal total to nine.

The Panthers, 7-7-0 overall and 3-1-0 in LEC games, are in action Tuesday night when the University of Southern Maine comes to Panther Field at 6:00
p.m. Bob Murphy, a longtime PSC assistant, returns to Plymouth as head coach of the Huskies.
