The Panther men ran away from Endicott College and Notre Dame College to capture the PSC Tip-Off Tourney at Foley Gymnasium, while the PSC women brought home the title
from the M.I.T. Engineer Tip-Off Tourney in Cambridge, Mass. The women’s squad will look to make it three straight tournament victories this weekend (Nov. 29-30) at the Gallaudet
University Holiday Tournament in Washington, D.C.
Senior captains Ace Elefteriadis (Belmont, MA) and Seth Peloso (Rye, NH) combined for 31 points Saturday to lead PSC to a 95-63 victory over Notre Dame -in the championship
Peloso scored 13 points and added five assists and five steals in 25 minutes and earned tournament MVP honors, while Elefteriadis tossed in a game-high 18 points and 13
rebounds and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Junior guard Adam DeChristopher (Brockton, MA) added 15 points and joined Elefteriadis on the All-Tournament Team.
The Panthers are idle until Thursday, Dec. 4th, when they host Salem State at Foley Gymnasium (7:30 p.m.).
Junior Becky Morse (Sterling, MA) scored 14 points and grabbed 18 rebounds Saturday to lead PSC to a 62-45 victory over host MIT in the championship game.
Morse was selected tournament MVP, and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by PSC sophomore Courtney Jacques (Belmont, NH). Jacques tallied seven points and six
rebounds Saturday, and was PSC’s leading scorer with 13 points in Friday’s first round win, a 69-43 verdict over Wentworth.
The Panthers also got a strong performance from freshman Kate Fillion (Littleton, NH), who matched Morse with 14 points. Sophomore Lynn Hersey (Dexter, ME) added 11
points in Friday’s winning effort.
After the Gallaudet Tourney, PSC returns home on Thursday, Dec. 4th, to host Salem State at Foley Gymnasium (5:30 p.m.).
