PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The leading scorer on the Plymouth State College men’s lacrosse team has been recognized again by the Pilgrim League for his
outstanding play.

Junior Jim Martocchio (Simsbury, Conn.), who has twice been named Pilgrim League Northwest Division Player of the Week, was selected to the Pilgrim
League Weekly Honor Roll for the second straight week. He led PSC with 11 points in two games, scoring two goals and an assist in a loss to undefeated New
England College and adding six goals and two assists in a blowout victory over Maine Maritime.

Martocchio, who leads the nation in Division III in goals per game (6.00), added three goals and three assists in a Pilgrim League win over Norwich on
Monday. The junior attackman now has a school-record 65 goals this season (along with 11 assists). Martocchio also has netted 175 career goals, which is just one
shy of the PSC record (176), established by Scott Walden from 1993-96.

PSC, 8-4 overall and 4-1 in the Northwest Division of the Pilgrim League, hosts Bates College in a non-conference encounter Wednesday (4/26) at Panther
Field (3:30 p.m.) before the home finale at Panther Field Saturday (4/29) against UMass Dartmouth (2 p.m.).

PANTHER NOTES: The Panthers are holding on to the second and final divisional play-off berth, with league games remaining against the two teams that
are also still alive – UMass Dartmouth and UMass Boston…. PSC’s game at UMass Boston, which was rained out last Saturday, has been rescheduled for Monday,
May 1st. That game could determine the final qualifier for the Pilgrim League play-offs, which begin on Wednesday, May 3rd.
