PLYMOUTH, N.H. – For the second time in three weeks, the leading scorer on the Plymouth State College field hockey team was selected to the Little East
Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
Senior midfielder Megan Fournier (East Waterboro, Maine) is this week’s PSC representative on the LEC’s list of honorees. She helped PSC to a pair of LEC
shutout victories as the Panthers took over sole possession of first place in the conference.
A senior co-captain, Fournier scored a pair of goals as PSC blanked Framingham State, 2-0, and Eastern Connecticut, 3-0. She tallied the game-winner last
Monday at Framingham State, and added PSC’s second goal in Saturday’s win over ECSU. Fournier leads PSC in scoring with six goals and one assist.
Plymouth State has run its winning streak to seven games, improving the team record to 10-4 overall and 7-1 in conference play. The Panthers need one victory in
their final two regular season games to clinch the regular season title and the top seed in next week’s LEC Championship Tournament. PSC concludes the regular
season with LEC games – Wednesday at home against Fitchburg State (4:00 p.m.) and Saturday at Worcester State (6:00 pm.).
