Opera Scenes by PSU Music and Music Theatre Majors

Students in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance will perform scenes from operas at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10 at the Silver Center for the Arts.

The Music Theatre Company program includes a major portion of Dido & Aeneas by Purcell, and shorter scenes from Louise (Carpentiere), The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart), The Taming of the Shrew (Giannini), and Carmen (Bizet).

All performers are music or music theatre majors, and all scenes will be performed in English.

Directors are Kathleen Arecchi, professor of music and director of voice performance studies at PSU, and Charles Stanton, adjunct in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

Proceeds from ticket sales will help support the scholarship fund of the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Tickets available at the Silver Center Box Office (603) 535-ARTS or online at http://silver.plymouth.edu. Tickets are $8 for adults. $6 for seniors and $3for youth and PSU students.
