Panthers back on track at St. Joseph’s

WINDHAM, Maine – The Plymouth State College women’s volleyball team got back on the winning track Thursday evening with a 3-0 non-conference victory (30-20, 30-21, 30-14) at
Saint Joseph’s College.

The Panthers got a strong effort from sophomore Sonia Trudell (Somersworth, N.H.). She recorded 15 digs, four service aces and 10 kills in 17 attempts without an error. Classmate
Becky Landry (Nashua, N.H.) was another top hitter with 16 kills and only three errors in 23 attempts.

Contributing to the defensive play for the Panthers was sophomores Lindsay Green (Guilford, Conn.) and Amber Greenlaw (Gilford, N.H.), with 17 and 10 digs, respectively.
Senior setter Jessie O’Hearn (Tilton, N.H.) provided 35 assists and four aces.

PSC, 14-10 overall, travels to Willimantic, Conn., this Saturday for a Little East Conference round-robin. The Panthers will take on host Eastern Connecticut as well as Rhode Island
College, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30p.m.
