Panthers picked fifth in N.E. Pre-Season poll

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State College is ranked fifth in the New England College Conference Wrestling Association (NECCWA) Division III
Coaches Pre-Season Poll.

The Panthers, who placed fourth at the New England Championships last winter, were picked fifth in the pre-season poll behind defending champion
Springfield, Johnson & Wales, WPI, and Wesleyan. Rounding out the top 10 were Trinity, Coast Guard, Roger Williams, Bridgewater State and Norwich.

PSC was also picked 10th in the New England All-Division poll, behind Harvard, Brown, Boston University, Sacred Heart, Springfield, Johnson & Wales,
American International, WPI and Wesleyan.

After a rigorous pre-season, the Panthers will open their 2002-03 campaign on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the annual Roger Williams Invitational in Bristol,
R.I. The tournament will also mark the debut of new Panther head coach Don Perrin.
