PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The leading tackler for Plymouth State College in last Saturday’s 33-17 loss to Western Connecticut State University has been recognized for his efforts by the Freedom Football Conference.
Senior Mike Pelletier (Concord, N.H.) was named to the FFC Weekly Honor Roll after a 19-tackle performance against the Colonials. He was credited with eight unassisted stops and 11 tackle assists, along with three pass break-ups and a tackle for loss.
A 6’0”, 208-pound safety, Pelletier is second on the team this season with 31 tackles. He has also recorded an interception and leads the team with five pass break-ups. Pelletier was named FFC Defensive Player twice last season, his first as a starter.
PSC dropped from fifth to eighth in this week’s ECAC Division III New England poll. The Panthers, 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the FFC, return home the next two weekends, hosting Kings Point this Saturday (Oct. 6) at noon and Springfield next Saturday (Oct. 13) at noon in the Homecoming contest.
