Plymouth State and Manchester West Bands

The Plymouth State University symphonic band
will present a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 4, at the Silver
Cultural Arts Center.

Selections will include Aloft! by Jack Stamp, Council
Oak
by David Gillingham, Slavonic Dances by Antonin
Dvorak, Their Blossoms Down by Samuel R. Hazo and Shepherd’s
Hey
by Percy Grainger.

Amanda Boisvert, a junior music education major from
Manchester, will be featured on the Rhapsody for Alto
Saxophone and Band
by Wilford Holcombe.

The concert will also include a guest performance by the Manchester
Memorial High School symphonic band
. They will perform Kirkpatrick
Fanfare
by Andrew Boysen, As Summer Was Just Beginning
by Larry Daehn, First Suite in E-flat by Gustav Holst, Swing
Low, Sweet Chariot
by Steve Rouse, and Noisy Wheels of
Joy
by Eric Whitacre.

Tickets are $6 for adults and youth; $5 for seniors. Proceeds
from ticket sales will help offset expenses of an upcoming band
tour.

Friday, noon – 6 p.m. Please note, the box office will be
closed. March 19 –28 for PSU spring break. The Box Office
will reopen Monday, March 29 at noon.
