PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Families of PSU students will be arriving in Plymouth Friday, September 23 for the University’s annual Family Weekend. This year’s event features a wide range of entertaining activities for all ages, beginning with Friday’s Casino Night in the Hartman Union Building, or a theatrical performance of Love Letters in the Silver Center, and wrapping up on Sunday with a performance of Musical Theatre Showcase, also in the Silver Center.

Saturday’s activities include a family hike up Rattlesnake Mountain lead by PSU’s Outing Club, women’s tennis vs. UMass Boston, field hockey vs. the University of Southern Maine, men’s soccer vs. Eastern Connecticut, a ropes course experience and a performance of Musical Theatre Showcase. Also on Saturday is the traditional family reception hosted by President Don Wharton and his wife Carol in their home, followed by dinner and entertainment later in the evening.

Sunday begins with a buffet brunch and photo session, followed by a family softball game with PSU faculty and staff. For those with energy left, Sunday concludes with a family fitness walk led by PSU’s Whole Health Team, and another opportunity to attend the Musical Theatre Showcase.

Some events require pre-registration and/or a fee. For more information on the weekend’s activities contact the Hartman Union Building, (603) 535-2639.
