PLYMOUTH, N.H.-Each summer, Plymouth State University’s Plymouth Writing Project offers unique day camp experiences tailored specifically for young writers. Those attending write journals, poetry, work with professional authors and illustrators, write on computers and publish their writing.
The camps are an opportunity to enjoy being part of a community of writers. Summer Youth Writing Project programs are planned and staffed by Plymouth Writing Project teacher consultants. Since 2002, the Plymouth Writing Project has offered a summer institute for the best teachers of writing in the state. The camp staff are all graduates of the program. This year, the camps will offer a variety of experiences for young writers. The Plymouth Writing Project is a site of the National Writing Project, which is dedicated to improving the teaching of writing in the nation’s schools.
