PLYMOUTH, N.H. – A first-year player on the Plymouth State College men’s soccer team was named Little East Conference Player of the Week after
his performance in his collegiate debut last week.

Sophomore forward Salvatore Friello (West Haven, Conn.) earned the LEC’s top weekly honor after scoring a hat trick against Bridgewater State last
Wednesday, leading PSC to a 5-0 victory. He came off the bench for his first varsity appearance, and 16 minutes later had three goals. Friello also played in
Saturday’s 2-0 home loss to Tufts.

Plymouth State is off to a sluggish start this season, taking a 2-4-0 record into the week. After starting the season ranked #11 in the nation, a sub-.500
record has dropped the Panthers out of the national and New England polls. PSC will try to regroup with three night home games this week, all beginning at 6 p.m.
at Panther Field – Monday (Sept. 20) vs. St. Michael’s, Wednesday (Sept. 22) vs. Wheaton, and Saturday (Spet. 25) in the Little East Conference opener against
Eastern Connecticut.

Panther Notes: Sophomore Antoine Moiboueyi (Gabon, Africa) is tied for second in the LEC in scoring, with 11 points (five goals and one assist), and
Friello is tied for eighth with six points. Moiboueyi had back-to-back two goals games vs. St. Mary’s (Md.) in the Conn. College Tournament, and the Bridgewater
State contest …..Freshman keeper Brad Wilby (Haddonfield, NJ), who has started all six games in the Panther goal, has a 1.60 goals against average and one
shutout.
