PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State College’s men’s basketball team rebounded from a key Little East Conference victory over Keene State College
Wednesday night with a 104-78 conference triumph over Rhode Island College Saturday at Foley Gymnasium.
It was the sixth straight victory for the Panthers, who improve to 13-4 overall and 7-2 in the LEC. RIC, which had defeated PSC in Providence a month
ago, drops to 6-12 overall and 2-7 in the LEC.
The Panthers got a team-high 18 points from Adam DeChristopher (Brockton, MA), along with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. Senior Eric
McQueen (Lawrence, MA) contributed 19 points, and sophomore forward Tony Martinez (Barnstead, NH) continued his strong play with 18 points and eight
rebounds. Senior Jamal Pettiford-Jones (Portsmouth, NH) and junior JaModi Robinson (Framingham, MA) added 12 points apiece.
The Anchormen were led by junior Will Robinson (West Warwick, RI), who had a game-high 24 points. Freshman Juan Carter (Providence, RI) added
14 points for RIC, sophomore Ken Payette (Woonsocket, RI) came off the bench for 12, and senior Ross Callen (Warwick, RI) chipped in with 10.
PSC plays three road games this week — non-conference affairs Tuesday (Feb.2) at Castleton State (7:30 p.m.) and Thursday (Feb. 4) at Bridgewater
State (7:30 p.m.) and a Little East match-up Saturday (Feb. 6) at UMass Dartmouth (3:00 p.m.).
