Two Plymouth State College seniors won awards at the Boston Chapter of National Association of Teachers of Singing voice competition held recently at the Boston Conservatory.

Kyle Masterson, a music education major from Clifton Park, New Jersey, won first place in Division III, (23 and older) musical theatre singing.

Royce McIntosh from Lisbon, a voice performance and pedagogy major, was awarded third place in the same division.

Both are students of Professor Kathleen Arecchi.
Dr.Allan DiBiase is their collaborative pianist.

Arecchi says, “Particularly significant to me is that the man who placed second, won in this division last year, and is finishing up his master’s degree in musical theatre performance at Boston Conservatory.” Plymouth State College students have won in Boston each of the last two years.
