FORT MYERS, Florida – The Plymouth State College softball team dropped its final two games in the annual Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic Friday, falling to Dana
College (Iowa), 9-1, and Bethel College (Minn.), 12-11.
The losses were PSC’s sixth and seventh in a row on the team’s Florida trip. The Panthers return to New England with a 2-8 record.

After falling behind Bethel 10-2 after two innings, PSC battle back to tie the score at 11-11. The Panthers put four runs on the board in both the fourth and sixth
innings, but suffered defeat when Bethel scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Harvey, junior Kristen Fusick (Windsor Locks, Conn.) and senior
Abby Russell (Newfane, Vt.) all had two hits for the Panthers. Among Russell’s two hits was a two-run home run in the fourth inning.
