PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The beginning of a new era in Plymouth State College football history will take place on Saturday, Sept. 13, with the Panthers’ first game of the 2003 season under new head coach Paul Castonia.
The 2003 Panther football schedule has been released, and Castonia will make his debut against the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth at Currier Field. It will be one of the six home games on Plymouth State’s 10-game regular-season slate.
Plymouth State’s six home games this fall include non-conference affairs against UMass Dartmouth and William Paterson (N.J.) in September, FFC encounters against Kings Point and Springfield in October and Coast Guard in November, and a non-league clash against Southern Connecticut on Nov. 8. The tough road schedule has the Panthers at Norwich and Western Connecticut for conference games early in the season, at Bentley for a non-conference match-up later in the campaign, and season finale at WPI on Nov. 15.
Plymouth State ranks #2 on the NCAA’s list for Highest All-Time Winning Percentage for Division III Football Programs. The Panthers are 213-101-7 in 33 years for a .674 winning percentage.
