PLYMOUTH, NH–On Friday, Dec. 7 at approximately 1:30 p.m. a female student reported two unidentified people had entered her off campus apartment on Russell Street the previous evening. According to Plymouth police, the motive of the intruders was not clear but they did not attempt to harm anyone and fled when they were detected.
She said that both intruders wore ski masks but she believed that they were both white males.
Both the Plymouth Police Department and University Police are actively investigating.
In addition, the following actions are being taken:
* Plymouth Police and University Police are actively searching for witnesses and have been canvassing the neighborhood looking for more information.
* A Campus Safety Alert has been distributed via postings on buildings, e-mail, and my.Plymouth.edu.
Anyone who might have information about this incident is urged to contact Plymouth Police at 536-1804 or University Police at 535-2330.
We encourage all students, faculty and staff to take normal precautionary safety measures. Remember to keep apartment and residence hall doors locked at all times. Do not let anyone into the residence halls without seeing their University ID.
Walk in well lit, heavily traveled areas. Do not walk alone.
