PLYMOUTH, N.H.-Plymouth State University Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Julie Bernier announced Patrick Cate has been named interim Director of the College of University Studies.
Cate began serving in this role on January 5.He holds a bachelor’s in biology from Keene State College and a master’s from Plymouth State in Human Relations.
Patrick has participated in University Studies initiatives for several years and has served as an advisor in the program since its inception. He was instrumental in the creation of the developmental advising model that is a hallmark of the program. He and Barbara Wirth will lead the program through this semester and into the next cohort. They are currently busy assessing the program and making plans to expand the services offered.
Bernier also announced Deb Regan is serving as interim Director of the Bagley Center. Deb has been at PSU since 1998 and has served as Senior Associate Director of the Bagley Center, instructor for business internships, study abroad advisor, and Director of the Freshman Abroad Program at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Prior to joining Plymouth, Deb served as Director of Admission at Middlesex Community College (MA) and Program Manager for the Massachusetts Office of Refugee Resettlement. She has been involved in international education since 1986 and has been working with the Internationalization taskforce since last year to look ways we can enhance globalization through our campus offerings. Deb received a master’s in community counseling from Fitchburg State College and a bachelor’s from UMass Lowell.
