Media Alert: PSU part of ”Save Lake Winnipesaukee (Winni Who?)’ project
Amex card holders can vote through July 15 to support New Hampshire project

Many people have seen the “Save Lake Winnipesaukee (Winni Who?)” project on The American Express Members Project television commercial and wondered “is this for real?” (check it out at http://www.membersproject.com/mptv.htm?id=9 it’s hysterical.) It is for real and the “Save Lake Winnipesaukee (Winni Who?)” project has a real chance of receiving between $1 million and $5 million in funding if it is the top-vote-getter of the American Express Members Project.

Plymouth State University is playing an important role in this project. The University’s Center for the Environment has partnered with the Lake Winnipesaukee Watershed Association, The Lakes Region Planning Commission, and the North Country Resource Conservation & Development Council to create a program designed to ensure that Lake Winnipesaukee remains clean for generations.

The voting to move projects into the next round ends on Sunday, July 15. A final big push is needed to propel “Winni Who?” into the top 25 projects and getting it one step closer to receiving between $1 million and $5 million in funding.

American Express card holders can help the “Save Lake Winnipesaukee (Winni Who?)” get there. Amex card holders just log onto www.membersproject.com to cast their vote in support of keeping Lake Winnipesaukee clean.
