PSU Students Perform Musical Theatre Showcase

Advanced students from the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Plymouth State will perform classic and contemporary Broadway show tunes as a scholarship fundraising event for the department Saturday, September 24 at 2 and 8:30 p.m.; Sunday, September 25 at 2 p.m.

A sampling of show titles includes City of Angels, The Full Monty, Godspell, Guys & Dolls, Newsies, Parade, Phantom, She Loves Me and You’re Gonna Love Tomorrow.

Professor Kathleen Arecchi directs the program and pianists are Constance Chesebrough and Will Ögmundson. Tickets are $10 adult/$8 senior/$6 youth. PSU student tickets are $5.

Dr. Kathleen Arecchi is associate professor of voice, and director of voice performance studies and The Music Theatre Company. She has performed with the New Hampshire Music Festival in opera, cantata, oratorio and chamber music. She has appeared in numerous musical theatre, operetta and opera production in New Hampshire California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland and New York.

Tickets are $10 adult/$8 senior/$6 youth and $5 for PSU students at the Silver Center Box Office, (603-535-ARTS.) Box office hours are Monday – Friday, noon – 6 p.m.
