WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. – Senior Kelly Williams (Canaan, N.H.) scored three goals and assisted on four others Tuesday night to lead Plymouth State University to a 12-0 victory over Nichols College in a women’s ice hockey game at Waterville Valley Ice Arena.
The Panthers took a 4-0 lead after one period and stretched it to 10-0 by the second intermission before coasting home with the win. PSU improves to 5-4 on the season, while Nichols drops to 1-5.
The home team had a 38-21 advantage in shots on goal. PSU freshman goalie Lindsay DeLorie (Holliston, Mass.) recorded the shutout with 21 saves.
Sophomore Missy Fales (West Kington, R.I.) contributed two goals and three assists to the Panther offense, and junior Krista Pettrey (Williston, Vt.) added two goals and two assists. Sophomore Molly Perron (Hartland, Vt.) also scored twice, and freshman Amanda Kreamer (Lynn, Mass.) chipped in with a goal and three assists.
Plymouth State returns to the ice this Saturday with a road trip to Skidmore College (12:00 p.m.). The next home game is Wednesday, Jan. 25, against Norwich University (6:00 p.m.)
