PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The head women’s lacrosse coach at Plymouth State University has announced that she is moving on to another school.
Wynne Lobel, who was the head coach at PSU for four years, has been named head women’s lacrosse coach at Bryant University. The announcement was made by Bryant Director of Athletics Dan Gavitt. Lobel will succeed Coni Fichera, a former Plymouth State player who started the Bryant program and led it to a three-year record of 30-21.
During her four years at Plymouth State, Lobel’s teams were 59-11, won four consecutive conference championships, and competed in two NCAA tournaments. In 2004, Lobel lead Plymouth State to 17 consecutive wins before falling to Amherst College in the NCAA Regional Final, finishing with a 17-1 record.
