BEVERLY, Mass. – The Plymouth State University women’s tennis team had its two-match winning streak stopped Thursday with an 8-1 non-conference defeat at the hands of a strong Endicott College team.
Endicott won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles meetings to remain undefeated on the season at 7-0. The Panthers drop to 3-5 with the loss.
The only winner for PSU was senior Katie Olsen (Reading, Mass.), won a tiebreaker at No. 3 singles. Olsen now has a record of 5-3 this season.
All of PSU’s remaining matches are at home, beginning this Saturday against UMass Boston (1:00 p.m.). The final dual match is Saturday, Oct. 11 at PSU against Western Connecticut (11:00 a.m.), and the Little East Conference Championships will be in Plymouth on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17-18.
