WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. – In an ECAC Women’s East ice hockey game featuring two teams still looking for their first win of the season, Plymouth State University and MIT skated to a 2-2 overtime tie Friday evening at Waterville Valley Ice Arena.
Junior goaltender Lindsay DeLorie (Holliston, Mass.) continued her outstanding play in the Panther goal, finishing with 55 saves as the visitors had a 57-13 advantage in shots on goal.
The Panthers took a 2-0 lead with a pair of first-period power-play goals. Freshman Elizabeth Murray (Woburn, Mass.) put the Panthers on the board at the 7:13 mark with her team-leading seventh of the season, and freshman Ashley Goodridge (Stratham, N.H.) scored her first career goal at 12:05 to put the Panthers up by two despite being out-shot 22-5 in the period.
MIT came back with a pair in the second period.
