The Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance will present the Tony Award nominated musical review Pump Boys and Dinettes, March 11-14 at the Silver Cultural Arts Center.
This show, which the New York Times hailed as “refreshing as an ice hold beer after a bowl of five alarm chili,” tells the story of four gasoline station attendants and two waitresses who are celebrating the value of friendship and life’s simple pleasures. The show is infused with a blend of country-rock music, dancing and opportunities for audience participation.
Pump Boys and Dinettes is directed and choreographed by Kate Arecchi, with additional choreography by Patricia Biagini. Don Williams leads the live band.
Performances of Pump Boys and Dinettes are March 11-13 at 8 p.m., March 13 at 2 p.m., and March 14 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $11-$14 for adults $9-$12 for seniors and youth, and $5 for PSU students. For information, call the Box Office at 535-ARTS.
