The Plymouth State University Small Business Institute® (SBI) will hold its eighth annual SBI Awards Dinner at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord on Thursday, September 8 beginning at 6 p.m. Jim Roche, president and CEO of the NH Business and Industry Association will be the featured speaker, along with PSU President Donald P. Wharton.
Awards will be presented for the PSU 2005 Case of the Year Competition, including best specialized case and best comprehensive case. Additionally, winners from last year’s National SBI Case of the Year competition will be recognized.
The presentation of two, $2,000 Tim Sabol Memorial Fund Scholarships will also be made. Presented by his widow Sharon Sabol, the scholarships are in memory of the 2001 MBA graduate who died as a result of dilated cardiomyopathy at the age of 38 in October 2003. He was diagnosed with the disease in 1998, but courageously pursued and completed his MBA despite his health-related problems.
