PLYMOUTH, N.H. – One of Plymouth State College’s men’s soccer players has been selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer
League Senior All-Star Game on Friday May 12th at Foxboro Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
The Senior game is part of a double header in conjunction with the New England Revolution. The NEISL game will start at 5:00 p.m. and the Revolution
will face the 1999 MSL champion , the Chicago Fire at 7:30 p.m.
PSC defender Simon Sendowski (Gothenburg, Sweden) will join the Division III and NAIA squad which will challenge the top seniors from Divisions I
A PSC tri-captain and four-year starter, Sendowski was named to the All-Little East Conference Second Team and All-New England Fourth Team in
2000. He finished third for the Panthers in scoring with an impressive seven goals and one assist from his defensive position.
Sendowski finished with a career total of career goals, 18 assists and 40 points in 79 games for Plymouth State, helping the team to a 58-18-4-career
A finance major and economics minor, Sendowski was also selected to the Verizon Academic All-America Fall/Winter Team for District I in the College
Division, with a 3.88 grade point average.
Sendowski was instrumental in PSC winning the Little East Conference Tournament and finishing with a 15-5 overall mark (6-1-0 LEC) in 2000. He
helped PSC to the post-season the last four years, participating three times in the NCAA Tournament and once in the ECAC New England Tournament.
Ironically the Panthers have previously been represented in the NEISL game by keeper Shawn Higgins (1999) and midfielder Kevin Martin (2000), who
both come from Foxboro, Mass., site of this year’s game.
