Social Work Faculty Moniz and Gorin Publish

November 18th, 2002 by Adam

Health and Health Care Policy: A Social Work Perspective, a new book by Cynthia Moniz and Stephen Gorin (Social Work), “fills a void in social work literature” according to publisher Allyn & Bacon/Longman.

The new book provides an overview of the development of health policy in the U.S. with a particular focus on the failure to achieve universal coverage. It also discusses the role of private and public insurance and examines uninsured populations. The text also examines managed care in health and mental health, and its impact on social work.

The PSC Bookstore will host a book signing with Drs. Moniz and Gorin from noon – 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 20.
