PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State College women’s tennis team completed its 2000 dual match season Monday afternoon at the P.E. Center Courts with an 8-1 loss to in-state rival St. Anselm College.
The defeat left the Panthers with a 4-6 overall record, while the Hawks improve to 4-5. Despite the sub-.500 mark, PSC finished with its best record since the 1997 squad finished 5-6.
St. Anselm swept the three doubles matches and took five of the six singles matches to clinch the victory. The only winner for the Panthers was sophomore Sarah Kasuba (Stratford, Conn.), who won in three sets at No. 4 singles.
Plymouth State competes this Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 14-15) at the annual Little East Conference Championship Tournament, hosted by Rhode Island College. St. Anselm returns home to host Bryant College in a dual match Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
