Plymouth State Professor of Social Work Stephen Gorin has been selected for inclusion in the 2005 edition of Who’s Who in America.
Who’s Who in America lists individuals “because of the positions they have attained or because of noteworthy achievements that have proven to be of lasting value to society.” The 2005 edition will include “fewer than four in 10,000 people.”
Gorin’s accomplishments include his work with the White House Health Professions Review Group, which advised President Clinton’s Health Care Task Force, and his membership on the National Advisory Council for the Center for Mental Health Services in the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and the New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Men.
He was a delegate to the 1995 White House Conference on Aging and the White House Conference on Social Security. Gorin has published numerous articles and is the co-author (with Professor Cynthia Moniz) of Health and Health Policy: A Social Work Perspective. He also serves as the “National Health Line” editor of Health & Social Work.
