Student and community groups perform free concerts in May

Talented instrumentalists and vocal performers from Plymouth State University’s Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance and the greater Plymouth community will perform several concerts in May.

Tuesday, May 3 at 7 p.m., the PSU Percussion Ensemble, a small ensemble of student musicians, will perform contemporary and standard pieces for percussion. The PSU Chamber Winds, a diverse group of student ensembles including a flute choir, clarinet choir, trumpet ensemble, saxophone quartet and low brass choir, will perform a concert Wednesday, May 4 at 7 p.m.

A community group, the Pemigewasset Choral Society, in which PSU students can also participate, will perform a diverse array of choral literature, Sunday, May 8 at 4 p.m.

All concerts are free and are held at the Silver Cultural Arts Center at Plymouth State University. A free ticket is required for the Pemi Choral Society concert, and donations are accepted at the door. For more information,
