THIS IS ONLY A TEST AND WILL DISAPPEAR IN TWO MINUTES
THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL CAMPUS ALERT
Due to warm temperatures, melting snow and expected heavy rains this coming weekend, the National Weather Service is predicting there is the potential for significant flooding Saturday through early morning on Monday. To avoid putting people and their vehicles in harm’s way, University Police is issuing a Flood Emergency beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 1(no this is not an April Fools joke).
Students are required to move their vehicles from the Holderness campus up to the main campus by noon on Saturday. Students can park in any available parking space on campus. There will be no parking in the core, unless otherwise directed by University Police.
Students planning to leave for the weekend are strongly encouraged to take their vehicles with them. Students leaving campus, but not taking their vehicle should make parking arrangements with University Police prior to their departure. Any vehicle left in the Holderness campus lots (PE Center and Facilities Services) after noon on Saturday will be towed at the owner’s expense.
For students returning to campus Sunday evening, and faculty and staff coming to work Monday morning, plan to park in any legal parking space in the town of Plymouth. This includes backstreet parking. The overnight parking ban will be suspended to accommodate vehicles during the flood emergency.
Please note: At no time can vehicles be parked in the Citizens Bank/Speare Medical Associates parking lot or the Speare Memorial Hospital parking lot.
Over the weekend, any updates to the flood emergency will be posted on www.plymouth.edu, myPlymouth and the Storm Line at 535-3535.
