University Police to Participate in Annual Torch Run

Several members of the Plymouth State University Police will join other police officers from across the state in the 2004 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on Friday, May 21.

University Police will join officers from Plymouth, Holderness, Ashland and Meredith to cover the distance from Plymouth to Meredith. The runners begin their journey at 8 a.m., leaving from the Plymouth Police Department. Representing PSU will be: Chief John Clark, Lt. Aaron Comeau, Sgt. Peter Chierichetti, Officer Steve Henry, and Officer Jeremiah Trott.

The annual fundraiser is organized by the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police, and has a northern and southern leg that meet in Concord. The purpose is to raise awareness and funding for Special Olympics.
