A Celebration of Student Research, Scholarship, and Creative Works
Friday, April 26 & Saturday, April 27
at the Foley Gymnasium at Plymouth State University
The 2013 Student Showcase of Excellence featured student research projects from a variety of disciplines ranging from science to arts to the humanities. This was a two day event, open to the public and held at the Foley Gymnasium on Holderness Road.
With help from the National Institute for Health’s IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE), students and faculty were given grants to increase research opportunities . Projects ranged from biology and chemistry research to various examinations of environmental impacts.
These projects represented many academic disciplines and demonstrated outstanding student scholarship. There were students from more than 16 academic departments who displayed original research in their fields. In addition to poster and table displays, original music and dance performances were a big attraction at the showcase.
