The Q

The Q is located within Pemigewasset Hall. For more information, visit Pemi’s webpage.

The Q is Plymouth State University’s LGBTQIA+ and ally residential community located on the first floor of Pemigewasset Hall. The Q is a living-learning community dedicated to providing supportive, healthy, and comfortable housing for queer people and their allies. The floor is equipped with a gender neutral restroom, a lounge, and hosts gender-inclusive room placements!

The mission of The Q is to develop and foster an active community that is built upon a foundation of diversity, acceptance, and education. Community members foster an environment where each resident and guest can comfortably explore and be their authentic self. This is facilitated through educational and social opportunities focused around wellness, current climate within the larger LGBTQIA+ community, community building, and identity.

Residents of The Q sign The Q Housing Agreement, found here. By completing this form, you are expressing interest in being placed in The Q, as well as agreeing to follow the community’s expectations. This form does not bind you to living in The Q.

If you have any questions, please contact Tori Penney, the Residence Director of Pemigewasset Hall at Victoria Penney, Kathy Peverly, The Housing Services Coordinator, or the Community Advisor of the Q.

Pemigewasset Hall also houses the Makers Space, a creative area stocked with crafting goods, a recreation lounge, a study lounge, bike storage rooms, and a Bike and Ski Tuning Room. Pemi is located on the south end of campus, next to Belknap Hall, the Lamson Library, and Boyd Hall. To learn more visit Pemi’s webpage.
