Top Three Winter Things to Do at Plymouth State

With temperatures peaking in the negative degrees and snow drifts taller that me, winter months can be challenging. Don’t let that discourage you though, as there are plenty of fun activities to get you out and loving life with your campus community!

Ski/Snowboard

Each year area mountains place bids for a contract with Plymouth State. Students vote on which mountain they prefer and then get huge discounts for the season; I’m talking $5 lift tickets and $15 rentals! You can’t find a better deal anywhere else. If you’ve never skied or snowboarded before then this is the perfect opportunity because lessons are greatly discounted as well.

Ice Skate

Take advantage of our new, state-of-the-art Plymouth State University Ice Arena at a public skate! With time slots spread throughout the week there are ample opportunities to get out on the ice. Public skates are free with your PSU ID and skate rentals are ony $4! Check out the ice skate schedule to find the next public skate time.

Go to a sporting event

Sometimes it’s nice just to watch the action rather than partake in it yourself, and you can stay warm while cheering on your fellow Panthers at a men’s or women’s basketball game, indoor track meet, or swim meet. Hockey is a Plymouth community favorite and games always garner large crowds and tons of Panther Pride! Check out the athletics teams’ schedules.
