The institutional logo was introduced in conjunction with the name change from Plymouth State College to Plymouth State University in 2003. The brand mark comes after rigorous assessment of what the institution represents through surveys, feedback on prototypes, and discussion with all campus constituencies. While no logo can embody all elements that represent the institution, consistent use of a mark creates brand awareness and strengthens our marketing position. In turn, brand awareness calls to mind the many characteristics of Plymouth State University we continually communicate: location, the mountains and lakes that define our landscape, experiential learning, finding one’s own personal horizon, our caring and accessible faculty, the excellent education students receive, our friendly campus, and our role in the greater regional community. When the diverse parts of our institution associate their unique strengths with those of their peers through a consistent, coordinated use of the University’s identity, we amplify the whole and protect the integrity of our academics, research, and public outreach.

Every session that I attended was related to the cluster-focused changes that we’re making at PSU.
