Hosted by Director of Admissions Matt Wallace, this event series provides students and families an opportunity to have their questions about the college application, financing, and decision making processes answered. These sessions will answer both PSU-specific and general enrollment questions.

Additionally, we will unpack some of the confusing aspects of the financial aid process, including how the applications for admission and financial aid are separate but work together, the importance of filing the FAFSA, misleading awarding practices to be on the alert for, and much more! This year has been different, that’s for sure. The pandemic has disrupted our lives and the college search has not been immune to that. We will talk about what has changed, what schools are doing to ease the stress on students, how COVID has impacted college and university functions, and more!

Together we will look at why a bachelor’s degree is beneficial, what to look for when choosing a school, and how some schools come up short in holding up their end of the investment.

We will have a discussion about why completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the most important thing you can do beyond submitting your application for admission. We will also analyze some of the misconceptions families have about the process, explore what FAFSA verification is, and what doors filing the FAFSA opens for additional financial aid.
