Cultivating Resilience: A broad perspective on trauma, resilience, and early childhood mental health
September 18 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
This lecture will explore various perspectives on resilience, trauma, and trauma prevention. Dr. Bayrak will approach these topics through a comprehensive lens, incorporating neurobiology, child development, physical and mental health, culture, and community. Her talk will emphasize the importance of early childhood and early relationships in cultivating resilience, and she will reflect on how storytelling can aid in meaning-making and fostering resilience at both individual and community levels. Dr. Bayrak will also discuss the story behind ‘Echoes of Resilience,’ future prospects, and how we can collectively work toward building resilient communities.
