Swim With a Mission, a local non-profit organization out of Newfound Lake, is offering an internship opportunity for the spring and summer of 2020. They are currently seeking English majors to help create a book about local veterans to help share their stories.

The organization would like help collecting memories, photos, stories, and experiences from veterans living out of New Hampshire. A booklet is going to be created to represent the various rankings, eras, and branches throughout the diversity of our New Hampshire residents.

When applying, the veterans are asked to record a video of themselves talking about their experiences, in case of futuristic plans to create a film documentary to share with the world. The groups wants to implement the strength, bravery, and selflessness in the most important and accurate accounts. “This book is going to be a collection of stories that exhibit courage and sacrifice. We recognize that each Veteran has their own story and they are all important.” it sayson the organization’s website.
